For the wine lovers:
The Olifants wine route is the thing to do. Starting at Seal Breeze
winery the smallest of the route, owner Mrs Joan Wiggins surrounded by
her beautiful garden makes her own unique wines the authentic way all by
hand and no machinery involved (very recommended). Then onto Lutzville
vineyards the 2nd largest winery in the country where Lydia
will welcome you for an unforgettable wine tasting and from there onto
Keukenhof winery +/- 10kms from Lutzville also for its authentic wine
making.
For the Sea lovers:
Not far from us on the diamond west coast are the 2 small popular
seaside villages namely Strandfontein and Doornbaai known for their SA
lobsters (crayfish) during their lobster seasons, hot and sunny during
the day and cool nights during the summer (Nov – March)
For the nature lovers:
During our early Spring (Aug –Oct) we have our world renowned carpets
of wild flowers among others the Namakwaland daisies which spreads as
far a field as Calvinia & Springbok a radius of a 3 hour drive.

Other places of interest:
nearby the town Clanwilliam you may want to stop in at the
Veldskoen (felt shoe) & Rooibos Tea factories and a visit to the
Ramskop wild flower garden at Clanwilliam dam. A bit further heading
east over the Pakhuis pass with its picturesque rock formations is the
Sevilla Rock Art Trail, a unique rock art experience at Travellers Rest.
